Attention! A new power metal band is making waves in the Swiss metal scene and abroad! Bad Marilyn from the canton of Solothurn are embarking on an impressive tour this year, including a stop in August at the Brienzersee Rockfestival (see below). There, they will also perform their latest single, “Eye of the Snake,” set for release on March 14. The track was produced by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Helloween, among others).
This female-fronted power metal newcomer from Switzerland is redefining the genre: catchy hooks, powerful vocals, and a pinch of death & heavy metal give their sound a distinct edge. While many bands embrace darkness and melancholy, Bad Marilyn takes a different approach: Good Mood Metal! Their live shows are pure energy—thanks in no small part to the powerful voice of Andrea Raffaela, which, as some media have noted, pushes “the limits of what’s possible.”
It’s no surprise that the band is rapidly gaining a community and bigger and bigger fanbase. Within just a few months of their album release, they surpassed 250,000 Spotify streams. Now, nearly a year later, they are set to rock Brienzersee Rockfestival 2025 and perform in renowned clubs and festivals across Switzerland.
