Vineland Music Festival, R.I.P.

Late last year, C3 announced they were going to stage a three-day music festival on a 550-acre farm in Vineland, N.J., on Aug. 8-10. A few months later, the festival was postponed till 2009. Now, C3 co-owner Charlie Jones says, Vineland is “dead.” [Turn It Up]
I don’t feel too confident in next year’s festival scene if we’re already seeing some festivals closing up shop before they even give it a fighting chance.
Vegoose is the obvious example here but it’s clear that some of the festivals weren’t really selling out (or getting close to it). Lollapalooza seems to be having a successful year, thanks to Radiohead mostly, but yeah Vineland, Vegoose…Virgin? Lots of “v” festies.

I know I have read/written about Vegoose closing this year or not happening rather. This was a huge dissapointment for me as I had plans to be in Vegas for the festival.
What are other festivals have you seen on the decline?
