Tuesday Links & Open Thread
I don’t have too much to share this morning. Nothing’s really jumping out at me from my feedreader, so I’ll update this as I find other stuff that comes my way.
Open Thread: See any good shows this weekend? Listening to anything cool right now? Excited for my next podcast (due out later today)? Let’s hear it in the comments.
i went to the knitting factory(NYC) last night and saw 2 bands.. ‘thought’ (jamiroquaiesque/early wonder style original pop) and “the simon coogan duo’ from new orleans… its usually just a pianist(brian coogan) and a drummer(simon lott)but they had a bass player (with a boomerang and pedal board)with them last night(james singleton?)… anyways, they were playing some tunes, but it was mostly improvisation… completely blew my mind and everyone elses there… if you get a chance to see any of these awesome musicians, don’t let it pass you by!!!

Shows: ReBirth Brass Band is playing here in Baton Rouge on Thursday. Rebirth is so much fun, they really get down.
Listenin to: North Miss Allstars- Electric Blue Watermelon- I completely forgot to watch them on tv last night.

No. You are not the only one to hear that.
Though the newer songs are less so.

I should be a Breakfast convert by now, and I do like their stuff, but it’s a little too steeped in Zappa for me sometimes.
Am I wrong?

yeah…. they’re pretty comparable to Fallout Boy, I’m pretty sure it was one of the Fallout Boy members that discovered them. But unlike Fallout Boy, they have a couple songs I like, they have some energy.
