Phish wrapped up their two night run at the Gorge last night to high praise, which I really only got to experience through the form of a river of tweets displaying extreme pleasure, text messages from my friends telling me they missed me not being there, and my Facebook feed declaring a certain “bliss” after two nights in one of the world’s most beautiful music venues. Really wish I could have been there. Last night saw the first version of “The Curtain With” this year, a debut of a new Mike Gordon song called “Say Something” and an obvious and fitting nod to close the first set with “After Midnight” in honor of J.J. Cole’s passing the day before. I’m told the “Sneakin’ Sally” was a solid high point of set two, also. Here’s what they played:

Thankfully my Phish tour this year finally kicks off with the two shows in Tahoe — watching on Couch Tour only is certainly great but I’ve been itching to get back out there in the crowd — so I’ll be heading up that way tomorrow to get ready for the action to go down. Expect some fun lot reports and plenty of tweets likely declaring each show as one-better than the night before.
See you hippies in the casinos…
