Wheels of Soul, one of the summer tours already turning up the heat, hit L.A.’s Greek Theatre recently and more than lived up to its billing. Featuring the triple threat of Doyle Bramhall II, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings and the Tedeschi Trucks Band, it was a great night for blues, retro-soul and some serious guitar slinging. With the three sets and nearly three-and-a-half hours of music, you couldn’t have a better summer kickstarter. May these wheels keep on rolling.
