Phish Halloween Festival Update: Definitely Not Ohio or Kansas

On a whim I decided to check if Phish.com had any new reveals in the quest to get the to the final location state of the Phish Halloween Festival that I wrote about earlier today, and they’ve now updated the map to make it clear that the festival will not be held in Ohio or Nebraska Kansas. “Phew,” the phans think — am I right?!?!
I am feeling somewhere mid to south Missouri, it is still standing there, the weather during halloween is fair not blazing hot, and not chicago newyork vermont cold. MISSOURI is SMACK in the middle of the United States, and for some reason I feel like they are going to throw it down there, any thoughts?

Have to stick with my original guess for Texas. The only basis for this was a splash page they had on their site a few months ago, where they started an animation with a huge globe that zoomed into what was eventually a field in Texas. I could obviously be wrong, but that’s my guess.

There’s a (somewhat) rational explanation for each of the clues so far — including the Ghost Ship depicted above — and they all point to Indio.

The show WILLbe held at the Indio, CA fairgrounds where they hold Coachella and Stagecoach. MARK MY WORDS.
Also, there is talk that the band will also do pre-festival shows at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, CA and perhaps even a venue in Arizona.

BTW, I like the choice of Wolfman’s from Halloween ’98 being the background music for the “save-the-date” video.

As have I, Eric. From the get go, the rumors were Indio, CA – with a possible NYE run in Miami. So, Unless something phishy goes down, I’d book Cali for the festival.

Actually, I’ve been hearing that it was at the Coachella grounds. Let’s hope not. Using the Bonnaroo grounds would be a great idea, though.
