Superfly Announces Jazzfest 2007 Info

Jazzfest (seemingly) used to be known as the beginning of the summer season until Langerado made it’s way into everyone’s . They’re still continuing to do what they do best by offering the day in , the focus clearly not fully shifting to helping to rebuild the city that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. It’s a needed shift really, or we could really lose something in the world that many of us take for granted — COMMUNITY.

I shouldn’t chastise too much as I’ve never attending this festival myself, and from the looks of last year’s fest, I’m sure they do a tremendous job making sure everyone knows the perils that the city still faces. At any rate, though — the Jazzfest website does more to disseminate info on how to get there and what food they’re serving versus what still needs to be done to help recover effectively.

We got some news today from the Superfly camp, and it looks like their always-popular late-night series is again returning in 2007. They’re focusing on New Orleans-based sounds this year, as they do most every year, so there’s really nothing new here or any big surprises. It doesn’t mean that the shows will kick any less ass, though…keep that in mind, people!

Info from the horses after the jump.

Anyone going to this year? Let us know if you are; we’d love to have an update or two on-scene to let us know how it’s going…
