Morningwood Video, Tour Dates

morningwood-disco.jpg

I’m so happy that I just stumbled upon this music video. There’s nothing else like waking up a little early on a Saturday morning, grabbing some coffee, and watching one very clever music video set to one of the poppiest, indie-dance tunes I’ve ever heard. I love it–I’ve already watched this like ten times.

The references are too plentiful to list, but anyone that can successfully pay homage to the Circle Jerks, Kraftwerk, Spinal Tap, and Saturday Night Fever in one video has to be doing something right.

They’ve got some dates booked here (full tour dates after the jump) and they’re opening for The Donnas in Chicago. I’m not necessarily going to pay full price just to see Morningwood open for them, but I’ll definitely try and catch them next time they swing through.

  1. It’s amazing what a great video can do for a band. I saw this one a coupla weeks ago and keep returning to it. The “M-O, M-O-R” part gets stuck in my head for days.
