Latest from Vegoose: WSP and The Crystal Method on 10/31

I’ve been slacking hard on the Vegoose news lately. I guess it’s because I’ve realized I’m not going, and it’s hard to be totally interested in Bonnaroo West Vegoose when I know it’s going to be hard to make it everything that it was hyped up to be. At any rate, the Widespread Panic show is probably going to rage.

I’m still looking for a willing individual to take over the Live Music Blog reigns at Vegoose and give our sorry asses some representation. Anyone going that wants to write some reviews for us? Anyone want to call me while hungover and try to remember what the hell they even saw last night? We want you!

  1. Just added Robert Randolph and Umphrey’s, both late-night shows. Robert Randolph has no peers when it comes to the steel pedal -He is awesome and he rips, non-stop…

This is shaping up to be quite the event, actually, and it’s never about the hype, Justin, it’s always about the music, and what each individual gets out of it. Having Vegas as a backdrop only makes it spicier, but if the music sucks, it wouldn’t matter where you held it. In saying that, the lineup looks awe-inspiring and I can’t see how this will not be a weekend of GREAT music!! You can read my reviews on the 101 report, if I can remember who I am come November 1.

  3. Scotty: Yeah, I hear you. I tend to think on the negative side and I just don’t see a whole lot of good in this music festival. I don’t know, it just seems TOO predictable to me or something.

It’s kind of like the Phish Vegas run that just tanked. Everyone assumed that it would be the sickest, and it wasn’t. Who knows. I know you’re right. Have fun there and I’ll definitely be linking to your reviews.

  5. I’m alot of things, but ‘right’, well, I’m not sure about that -I just always see the glass as ‘half full’ -always, especially when I’m shelling out good money!!!
