Foo Fighters released a live album yesterday entitled Skin and Bones. It’s acoustic, although it really doesn’t sound like it judging from the clips on the band’s MySpace page.
I caught a Foo Fighters show recently (with Weezer as the opener) and I had a good time. Honestly. Dave Grohl might have been a little heavy on the “Come on!” screams in between every…single…verse and chorus and the crowd might have been a little too heavily skewed towards the 14 year-old girl demographic, but hey, who cares. I still had fun and these guys rock an arena like it should be. I can only assume that this album highlights their skill in acoustically rockin’ an arena — if that’s even possible…

Hey, all I can say is that this band might make just regular old rock… but it’s great regular old rock.
I love this band. Though they were amazing and a lot better on the 2000 Californication Tour with the Peppers, they still rocked me out last year with Weezer.
This album sounds exceptional, especially older songs like “Walking After Your.” Newer stuff like “Friend of a Friend” is memorable to say the least, I love it.
