Surround Sound Live Shows
Since November 2024, Der Träumer has been touring with his new program Ghosts – performing in cinemas, concert halls, clubs, fantasy, comic, and film festivals, as well as art events and vernissages. He spares no effort in creating a unique live experience, using a 4-channel surround sound system to deliver a fully immersive quadraphonic audio journey.
Now there’s music on album, inviting listeners on a dreamlike voyage. The journey begins August 29, 2025, with the release of Ghosts in digital format, on CD, and – simultaneously – as a limited edition heavyweight vinyl LP titled Ghosts – Instrumental.

About Der Träumer
Behind the name Der Träumer is Basel-based sound designer, film composer, and multi-instrumentalist Peter Philippe (Pitt) Weiss. His new release marks yet another milestone in a rich and multifaceted career:
🔘 Over 30 years of experience as a musician, film composer, radio play producer, performer, producer, and sound designer.
🔘 A long-standing role as a philosopher, asking questions, deliverign inspiration.
🔘 Deep roots in a wide range of musical styles including dark ambient, electronic, industrial, neo-classical, jazz, and film score – all of which inform his musical vision.
🔘 Before founding Der Träumer, Pitt played various instruments in bands such as Duure Duure, Bi-Kids, and The Look People, touring across Europe and performing at the St. Gallen Open Air, CBGB’s in New York, and Diamonds in Toronto.
🔘 In 1993, he released Subway (re-released in 2021 by Bongo Joe Records), followed by zen jazz in 2001 – a contemplative ambient album.
🔘 A passionate fan of comics, fantasy, and science fiction, Der Träumer continually seeks to transform these genres into musical form.
