2007 Plug Awards Announced

The annual Plug Awards nominees were announced the other day and here are the sites up for “Music Blog of the Year”:
Brooklynvegan, Coolfer, Discobelle, Fluxblog, Gerard vs. Bear, Gorilla vs. Bear, Idolator, Largehearted Boy, Music For Robots, My Old Kentucky Home, Stereogum, You Ain’t No Picasso
Idolator — honestly? I think that easily points to the absurdity of these selections, but hey, whatever. I’m not bitter. (Read: yes i am)
How is the Idolator nomination in any way absurd? In a short span of time it established itself as a must-read for news, and quickly eclipsed Stereogum at their own game.
