The 3-night no-rules, no-repeats run at Los Angeles’ Wiltern continued tonight with a considerably mellower version of My Morning Jacket (compared to last night) that included a guest spot by Sam Beam of Iron & Wine for George Harrison’s “Isn’t It A Pity” during a lengthier-than-usual encore. While not reaching the level of last night’s legendary display, tonight showed a band still in control of the gearshift, embracing the three-night nature of this run and engendering a totally different vibe than most planned for.
Highlights included “Picture of You,” “O Is The One That Is Real,” “Carried Away,” “Cobra,” “Run Thru,” “Tyrone,” “Rock The Casbah,” and “Mahgeetah”.
