WATCH: DJ Falcon on how NASA helped Daft Punk

’s countdown to their fourth, Random Access Memories is at ten days now (with buzz at record levels) and today, the Creators Project continued the push with the latest episode in their awesome series. This one features who appears on the album’s final track, “Contact.” Falcon confirms earlier reports that the track will indeed feature Captain Eugene Cernan of NASA’s Apollo 17 mission — the last Apollo mission to land men on the Moon.

“It was pretty obvious we needed to add a countdown or something like that … I think Thomas, was like ‘Ok if we need a space cinema, let’s just call NASA, lets just go for it’…so they did, and they [NASA] responded super positive…so they had access to all the recordings of that mission. –

Check out the full video. The album will be released on May 17th at a special event in the small town of Wee Waa, Australia. The US has to wait until May 21st.
