We’ve been looking forward to seeing this cover take shape on a live stage ever since the Fela Kuti tribute was released earlier this week. Last night, My Morning Jacket was joined by tUnE-yArDs’ Merill Garbus and Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday night. Of course, MMJ and Co. were also accompanied by the amazing Roots crew and Antibalas horns for the performance of “Trouble Sleep Yanga Wake Am”, the bands contribution to the brand spanking new Red Hot + Fela collection.
