Once again, a musical gag on Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night show has caught our attention. Last night, “Black Simon & Garfunkel” (aka Questlove and “Captain” Kirk Douglas from The Roots) once again delivered, to perfection, a cover of a modern hit song in musical costume. Fallon introduces it well, saying “Last night I was having a Pimm’s Cup uptown at Monique’s and saw them perform, they really brought the house down.” Just when you thought you’ve heard every conceivable style of Daft Punk’s blockbuster single, Questo and Captain Kirk go and do something like this.
