The remix, break-beat rock ‘n roll masters Ratatat announced a small summer tour in support of their new album LP3, which is set to release July 8th through XL Recordings. I’ve always really dug the band’s ability to reinvent their sound in small ways from one album to the next, and this seems to be the case with LP3. The new single “Mirando” has a the same break-beat formula that Classics and the self-titled disc had but incorporates some of the newer sounds in electronic music. The video is so dope — a montage of Predator clips is genius. Check it out below. As I’ve said before, I love Arnold. Follow the jump to the dates.
The good part about this tour is that Ratatat is touring; the bummer is that the tour is only five dates long. Hopefully they’ll expand on these cities as the release date for the new album gets closer. Spending most of the time on the West Coast and with one date in Brooklyn, it looks like Chicago will have to be patient for right now.
