The big elephant-in-the-room word on everyone’s mind in Colorado this summer has definitely been FIRE. They were burning all up and down the state causing many to lose homes and many more to evacuate theirs. I even saw flames from my front door just a couple weeks ago. Luckily they’ve been contained and it looks like we’re pretty much out of the clear for now. Though, this would not have been accomplished so soon without a few large storms that passed through last week. At Red Rocks this past Saturday night, at the second night of String Cheese Incident’s three-night run, we all got a big taste of these storms. Though not many people like to stand in the rain, it was bittersweet that night for me.
And Cheese literally brought the heat with some awesome pyrotechnics. It was significantly more challenging to take pictures in the rain but I was lucky enough to capture some really great shots to share with all of you.
