The nearly summer-spanning AmericanaramA Festival of Music reaches its end point in the US tonight with a show up at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. Last night, the roving mega tour was in Irvine, CA and a smart bet on some one-off, big ticket special guests would’ve paid off. Sit-ins throughout the tour have been this jaunt’s most intriguing feature and last night featured a guest spot by the legendary songsmith himself, Mr. Jackson Browne as well as another appearance by Dawes front man Taylor Goldsmith and Nancy Sinatra (for a fun take on her classic “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'”). Finally, Mr. Zimmerman himself joined in the collaborative action by inviting Ryan Bingham, Jim James and Jeff Tweedy out for a crowd-pleasing rendering of “The Weight”. Surely a thrill for all involved and in attendance. Continue below for some clips from the star-studded night off The 405.
