Umphrey’s and Posters at The Fillmore
I was one geeked-out music fan last night as I attended the first night of a three-night Umphrey’s McGee run at The Fillmore in San Francisco. For those that have never been there, the walls upstairs are lined with the posters of the storied Fillmore past, including one solid Peaches photo that deserved it’s own focal treatment right here on LMB. I probably won’t review the show front to back considering I didn’t stay through the entire thing (my jamband stamina has been nonexistent lately — bummed I missed the “Bombtrack” encore, though). That being said, I might have to do my own Drymount! post just to show off the pics I got from the posters lining the walls in the venue. What a cool place.

nice justin…funny, i was at the sunday show there (and still in town)…we bookened the shows :)

Glad you got the chance to explore those walls! livemusicblog was a big reason why I got into My Morning Jacket, and because of that, visited the Fillmore to see their New Year’s Eve Performance! Amazing to say the least. You could spend about three hours just gazing at the walls …Sometimes I got lost, then got hammered back to reality — “Umm… There’s a concert going on downstairs!”

I was floored when I first saw those walls. I’m looking forward to going back as soon as possible.
