Solya Unveils “Is This Love??” From Her Upcoming Debut Album ‘Queen of Texas’
Solya returns with her new single “Is This Love?” a novel version of a old-time love song in time for Valentine’s Day. The song is from her forthcoming debut album Queen of Texas, which will be released on march 6. To celebrate, Solya is taking her Queen of Texas Tour on the road across North America.
According to a press release from Solya’s management, the Queen of Texas tour will start on February 27th at Club Dada in Dallas, Texas.
The Queen of Texas Tour marks Solya’s first run with a full band. Her previous solo touring includes a sold-out 21-city co-headline North American tour with Baby Bugs, four sold-out U.K. headline dates, and a sold-out headline show at Los Angeles’s historic Troubadour.
Lockhart, TX duo Tele Novella will provide support on all dates. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.
Back to the new single. “’Is This Love??’ sounds like an epic love song, but it is actually written from the perspective of someone who has never experienced love in a healthy way,” shares Solya. “At its core, though, the song is a beautiful pop ballad that would fit perfectly in the end credits of a film about star-crossed lovers.”

Queen of Texas was formally announced last month alongside the release of the album’s lead single “Tell Me It’s Over”. Rolling Stone celebrated the track as a “song you need to know,” and NME spotlighted it as a “new banger.” The Luna Collective praised, “[‘Tell Me It’s Over’] is restrained yet piercing, setting the emotional tone for an album that finds strength in confessionals,” and Ones To Watch declared, “West Texas singer-songwriter phenom Solya is foreshadowing her reign.” The track also arrived to flagship playlisting including Spotify’s New Music Friday and Apple Music’s New Music Daily.
Solya previewed Queen of Texas with the release of tracks “Silver Swan,” “Movie Star,” “19,” and “Born Wicked” over the course of 2025. The album follows her independently released 2023 EP Fever Dream and 2024 EP Jewel Box, and builds upon the success of early singles such as “Tear Me Apart” and “We Say Goodbye,” which helped her cultivate a devoted fanbase.
