Some updates ’round Live Music Blog to tell you about…
I’ve just upgraded to Movable Type 3.3. So far so good. I really like this version aesthetically but I can’t figure out if there was anything significant that will change the way the site gets published other than the inherent tag support not previously available. Before and up until this upgrade, I’ve been treating my categories as tags and may continue to do so. Not sure yet. Must. reorganize. Web2.0.
In addition to some basic reorganization in front, you may begin to notice some improvements on the sidebar in the coming weeks. I’m bringing back my blogroll so make sure to check there for sites I’m diggin’ on. Also, I’m going to beef up the Wire (daily links and whatnot) to actually include a little more of a daily flow of info. Still working on the best solution for me and it doesn’t appear to be del.icio.us (my current solution).
You may have already noticed the heading “Music I Like,” directly powered by MyJamBase and the favorite bands I’ve tagged on JamBase.com. Every time I write a new post, you’ll see 10 bands/artists I like in no particular order with direct links to their JamBase profiles, tour dates, etc.
I wrote about their profiles a while back and they’ve made it super easy for you to publish your favorite bands in a nice, usable sidebar format (great for your blog, MySpace, etc.). Log in to your JamBase account and create a public profile with your favorite bands and get sharing. View in action on Andy’s blog and on our sidebar…
I personally think the changes are killer. We’ll see. As always, I welcome all constructive (and only constructive) feedback whenever you feel like giving me some…
