Last Thursday night one of our favorites rolled through town and brought with his usual sonic assault a set of brand new songs to debut to the Bay Area audience. Panda Bear played the Fillmore and didn’t touch any “old” material until the encore when he played three tracks from Tomboy. No, the rest of the show was new art to be presented and he did so in a way that continues to blow my mind every time I see him perform. Openers Peaking Lights completely had me entranced as well.
