They Heavy Pets, a South Florida group consisting of five strapping young lads, two guitars, a bass, the drums and some keys–oh, and a whole lot of funk–was a band I caught a few weeks back following their raging 4/20 show in Buffalo. Thankfully they managed to wrangle up some energy for a nice Sunday evening set in Connecticut. Their set included one of my favorite jams that they do…a 20 minute (maybe longer) live version of “So Thank You Music”. Check out my gallery after the jump.
