Friday night’s Bill Carter & The L.A. Blame show at The Mint was filmed for the highly anticipated music documentary That’s What I’m Doing Here. For the third consecutive time at a Carter appearance at The Mint, actor / musician Johnny Depp (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Edward Scissorhands, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) was a special guest member of the band. Instead of playing drums (as he did the previous two times), this time Depp played guitar, remaining mostly on the right-hand side of the tiny stage throughout the show in the intimate confines of the historic Los Angeles venue.
