“The language and expressions from Venezuela have always been a natural part of me, and ‘Malandro’ is a word we use there. It describes someone who’s unreliable and dangerous — a person you know you shouldn’t get too close to,” explains Rudberg. “The choir part came to me in Spanish completely naturally, without any planning. For me, it’s not about imitating anyone else, it’s about letting that side of me shine through in the music. I’ve shown Latin American influences in my music before, and this song is another way for me to connect to my roots and show who I am.”
