Tom Petty Laid to Rest in Private Ceremony

This one still feels like a hard pill to swallow, but alas life moves on.

Tom Petty was laid to rest on Monday at Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades, California during a private service with Petty’s friends and family. This was the same spot that George Harrison was laid to rest. The location houses a temple, shrine, and meditation garden as well as the Golden Lotus Archway, which frames the Mahatma Gandhi World Peace Memorial, an outdoor shrine where an old stone sarcophagus holds a portion of the ashes of Gandhi.
