The writers at The Simpsons are always looking for unique ways to get your favorite family from Springfield into some new adventures, and this season it’s no exception: The Simpsons are heading to New Orleans Jazz Fest!
Set to air on April 22nd, the family will arrive in New Orleans involving a plotline surrounding the title of the episode, Lisa Gets The Blues. We don’t have too many details about what will go down, but we do know that Trombone Shorty will make an appearance and I’m guessing we’ll see that very cartoonish of characters Ben Jaffe, who will be a perfect New Orleans sherpa for the Simpsons family and can welcome along his gang of merry marchers Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
Here’s what NOLA.com has about the episode:
When the family’s flight to Gainesville gets diverted to New Orleans, they seize the opportunity to explore the local culture. For Lisa, that means a trip to Jazz Fest — and, hopefully, a return of her confidence. For Bart, it means voodoo. And for Homer, well, it’s all about the booze.

Wow, so excited about this one!
