The new documentary about The Band and their principal songwriter Robbie Robertson will screen on the opening night of the Toronto International Film Festival.
The documentary, Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band, recounts the story of one of Canada’s musical legends and will world premiere at the festival at the gala presentation hosted on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Roy Thomson Hall.
The movie will feature interviews with Martin Scorsese, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Taj Mahal, and Ronnie Hawkins.
