Sturgill Simpson recently released his new album Sound & Fury and played a set of intimate shows here in the U.S. getting the dust off his new songs that were getting the studio treatment for months prior (not to mention that Netflix anime special, too).
During that tour while in Los Angeles, he stopped by the Joe Rogan Experience with his whole band and quickly announced something that got buried — he was planning on touring big in early 2020 with Tyler Childers. But no dates got confirmed yet.
Now fast forward to barely a month later, and suddenly a huge set of fliers have started to mysteriously show up in promotional areas in major metros across the United States but nothing but the artwork for the album, a date, and a link to his website. And no tour dates or nothing backing it up on the website…yet. UNTIL NOW.
But a betting man definitely will block off that date on their calendar for the local show being Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers bringing their new blend of country sound and fury to a local metro near you sometime soon.
Here are the dates and fliers that have surfaced so far. Stay tuned here for tickets and I’m sure we’ll see an official announcement early next week.
