Yessss! New music just dropped from the Diplo and Mark Ronson supergroup they’re calling Silk City. The lead single is called “Only Can Get Better” featuring Daniel Merriweather — available here, out now on Columbia Records — or streamable below.
The new music follows the duo’s surprise appearances last week in Los Angeles and at Electric Daisy Carnival’s Wide Awake Art Car this weekend. Silk City will make their festival debut next weekend at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York-playing the Bacardi Stage at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2-and will headline the U.K.’s Bestival in August.
Diplo, born Wes Pentz, and Ronson named Silk City for the Philadelphia institution where they first deejayed together in the early 2000s. Longtime friends, the project is the two multi-platinum, Grammy-winning producers’ first official collaboration. Further music from Silk City is imminent.
