Fresh off last night’s amazing late night performance on Jimmy Fallon alongside the star-studded ensemble of Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Antibalas horns and The Roots, My Morning Jacket took to Time Square this evening for a set at the CBGB Festival. Once again, the band was joined by special guests for a cover of Fela Kuti’s “Trouble Sleep Yanga Wake Am”. Also, Jakob Dylan joined the band for a cover of The Band’s “Don’t Do It”. Saturday marked the first show for the band since August 4th out in California. The band returns to action later this month for an appearance at the 2013 Bridge School Benefit.
