The Sasquatch Music Festival has released their 2012 lineup, and as usual, it’s a doozy. Headliners included Beck, Bon Iver, Jack White, Pretty Lights, Tenacious D and The Shins, all amongst a virtual who’s who of the best independent artists playing today. Sasquatch takes place over Memorial Day Weekend (May 25-28, 2012) at the Gorge in George, WA. Check out their official 2012 announcement video:

While the headliners are solid, I think I am more impressed with the middle portion of this lineup. There’s some serious talent across the genre spectrum, including: top-rung singer-songwriters (Feist, M. Ward, St Vincent, The Civil Wars), stellar indie rockers (Explosions In The Sky, Wild Flag, The War on Drugs, Deer Tick, Yellow Ostrich), buzz-worthy electronic acts (Pretty Lights, Tycho, Sbtrkt, Nero), retro soul (Charles Bradley, Alabama Shakes), new wave hip-hop and mash-up artists (Girl Talk, Araabmuzik, Shabazz Palaces), and plenty of folks to make you laugh (Portlandia, Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Todd Barry, Rob Delaney), among many more.
Take a few minutes to dig into this one yourself…
