Ratatat | Full Summer Dates, LP3 Released

About a month ago, we filled everyone in on the short list of Ratatat dates and I was totally bummed because there was no Chicago date. But now on the same day they’ve released their third full length album, LP3, a whole slew of dates were announced, including a Chicago show. The problem is — I’ll be out of town!

Regarding LP3, I’ve been jamming out to the album all day long and so can you thanks to Spinner. Though it stays true to the sound that we know the band for, it manages to sound really fresh, something each new album from this band has accomplished.

Personally I am dying to see this band and unless I cut an upcoming West Coast trip short, I may not see them this time around. I think the only thing that may be going my way is that they’ve promised more dates on the website. Crossing my fingers. Until then, I can only watch videos like this on YouTube. Being the fully acclaimed international sensation that they are, Ratatat is making their way through Europe during most of July and August. They’ll be back in the states at the end of August, only to have the presumptive end of their tour at Terminal 5, which should be pretty crazy knowing that venue.
