The big news coming out of Coachella’s second day was a surprise appearance by R. Kelly (not a hologram) who appeared on stage during Phoenix’s headlining set and performed a mash-up of “1901” and “Ignition (Remix).” Rumors of Daft Punk sharing the stage with their fellow French musicians proved false. Lead singer of Phoenix, Thomas Mars and R. Kelly shared vocals while the rest of Phoenix held court behind them. Check out the video from the YouTube webcast after the jump.
