Even if you consider yourself to be “in the know” in the jamband world and you pride yourself on following all the latest blogs and forums covering the scene, Marco Benevento runs the kind of touring schedule that would cause you to miss a few things if you even blinked twice. Just this past weekend he joined his good buddy Joe Russo for something at the Brooklyn Bowl called “Almost Dead” (more on this soon) and he’s already flown out West to start his spring tour for the next few weeks before heading back to Brooklyn Bowl for a James Booker Mardi Gras Celebration (bound to be a good time). Everything kicks off tomorrow at The Mint in LA with Mike Dillon Band, then they play the Santa Cruz area and roll through San Francisco on Saturday night with a big show at the Independent, which yours truly will be in attendance for.
