Phish will be kicking off their first of four shows tonight as part of their Phish Riviera Maya celebration here at the Moon Palace down in Cancún, Mexico, and the band has been here kicking around all week getting ready for the start of the music.
First Trey flew right down here after Oysterhead and sat in with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds as part of their Dave and Tim event. Then we’re seeing reports that their soundcheck included some jams on the Flipper and Mister Ed theme songs, not to mention a “Windora Bug” section (yessssss!). Suffice to say, I’m super glad I made the trek down here.

We’ll be on the beach for the show, but you can tune in below for the setlist as it rolls in. Or stay tuned to #PhishTwitter. I’d also recommend you stay tuned into the Mixlr Popular page once the show begins, as that’s usually a surefire bet on where you can find a stream for the show if you can’t afford the official LivePhish webcasts.
Can’t wait to see what the band has in store for their “welcome set.”
