FENWAY PARK NIGHT #2 SETLIST/STREAM
Phish will be taking the stage shortly for their first of two nights at Boston’s famed Fenway Park where the Red Sox call home. It’s not the first time the band has played the venue, but they’re treating it like a big event and made some special merch for the shows.

The show kicked off with a great version of “Free” and a nice jam that edged out of “Blaze On” in the #2 slot. For “Tube” the band stretched out and really delivered a great Type I jam in the early part of the song, then transitioned perfectly to the blues jam. After the tune, Trey seemed to notice a little w00k up front that was digging that jam in particular, so Trey kinda motioned to him and tossed him the pick he was using.

What a moment. For the rest of the set the band played a great selection after another and ended up confidently closing the set on their classic “Runaway Jim”.
For set two, the band started with a pretty standard version of “Sand” that didn’t fully end up anywhere else too far off where it usually does, so the energy picked up hard when they went into “Axila” after. The “Mercury” that followed was really where the band sonically shined during the first night of the run, and y’all shouldn’t dig on the “Wading…” that follows which was a tremendously beautiful version. “Fuego” and “Say It To Me S.A.N.T.O.S.” will also be a highlight for most people, as the jam that got out of “Fuego” got super deep and interesting, and a high-energy SANTOS that followed got everyone pumping fists.
The band encored with a beautiful “Bug” after Trey pulled an audible out something else, and a gorgeous version of “The Squirming Coil” closed the show with the band jammed with Page as he tickled the ivories and sent everyone off into the night.
