As for the second show, highlights seem to be based in that “Blaze On” which got some love, “The Sloth” kicked that place into high gear energy wise, and who would ever complain about a show where “F*ck Your Face” appears?! And as always, “Character Zero” blew the wood roof off and set fire to the place in the greatest way before setbreak.
For set two, the band hilariously faked us all out with a “Halley’s Comet” that didn’t even come close to a jam, but the “Undermind > Ghost > Golden Age” had a bit of fun in there, too. They couldn’t figure out how to end “Undermind” so they just kept playing it. LOL.
“Golden Age” had a chance, but I think Fishman accidentally rip-corded the thing, Trey seemed to be reading the lyrics pretty straight-up from the teleprompter which kinda took the vibe away in my opinion.
Trey did not want to go into Back on the Train. Fishman seemed to drop out of the jam, Trey kinda shook it off, and he seemed a bit fazed. They start the song, it's messy, but suddenly, oddly… Trey finds the he-haw riff. He-haw, he-haw, he-haw! He and Page giggle. #phish
Odd show, but they closed it with the confident rocker of “Say it to Me S.A.N.T.O.S.”
Anyone catch the book that someone gave Trey going into the encore break?
Sometime handed Trey a book or something. #phish
“Here’s my screenplay about the real Kasvot Växt story. I think we do it big, Bohemian Rhapsody style!”
