NPR Music just confirmed that they’ll be broadcasting a ton of sets from this year’s Newport Folk Festival and Newport Jazz Festival.
Summer in Newport, R.I., brings two consecutive weekends of live music for folk and jazz fans – and NPR Music brings it to the world. For the sixth year, NPR Music together with partner radio stations presents exclusive video and audio broadcasts from Newport Folk Festival® and Newport Jazz Festival®.
Performances from the Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals will be accessible through free, live broadcasts on stations and at NPR Music. Coverage will be available to audiences everywhere at npr.org/newportfolk and npr.org/newportjazz, and through the NPR Music mobile apps. More on-the-scene updates will be available by following @nprmusic. NPR Music will also archive select broadcasts and provide podcasts of many performances following the festivals. Recordings from the past five years of the Newport Festivals are available now at NPR Music.
