As I wake up and drink some coffee today, The Meters just flowed into my Spotify playlist shuffle and it couldn’t have been timed more perfectly: the lineup for this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has been announced!
Topping this year’s bill will be music legends like Aerosmith, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Jimmy Buffett and Lionel Richie, and they’ll also be bringing along some new legends like Jack White, Beck, David Byrne and Sturgill Simpson. New Orleans faves like Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, The Revivalists, Big Freedia, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and many many more.
