The Tennessean family affair known as Kings of Leon are embarking on a fall tour throughout the US in support of their upcoming LP, Only By the Night. The album, out on September 23, has already produced two singles, “Crawl” and “Sex on Fire.” The tunes are available for free through the various Kings of Leon websites, check above. Huge in the UK, its good to see that they are throwing a little love stateside. I’ll definitely be all over that Chicago date on Halloween.
For a while, I was an avid fan of this band. Youth and Young Manhood is still one of my favorite albums, but in each of the subsequent two albums it seems a little of the gritty, middle of nowhere America imagery fell to the wayside. Maybe it’s because these guys are far removed from that life now, but hopefully the new album returns to some of these roots. These guys are talented as hell, for sure, and have proven that they can play a live show, so this tour will be a must for any rock fan. Follow the jump for full details.
