Bob Weir has been announced as one of the special guests at Jerry Garcia’s 75th Birthday Celebration at Red Rocks on August 4, 2017.
Bob Weir will play a standalone date at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado with The Campfire Band—comprised of Bryan Devendorf, Scott Devendorf, Josh Kaufman, Steve Kimock and Jon Shaw. The date will mark Jerry Garcia’s 75th birthday.

The show will also feature The Jerry Garcia 75th Birthday Band including Melvin Seals, Jackie Labranch, Gloria Jones, Oteil Burbridge, Kamasi Washington, Tom Hamilton and Duane Trucks with more additions to follow.
Wow. Kamasi at Red Rocks jamming through Dead or Jerry classics would definitely be something we’d want to see.
Weir recently released Blue Mountain…
Blue Mountain is Weir’s first solo record in ten years and his first album of entirely original material in thirty years. Producer Josh Kaufman partnered with Weir on the album, which features songwriting collaboration with Josh Ritter and performances from guitarists Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner and bassist Scott Devendorf.
