A few key festivals made some recent additions, so we thought we’d provide some linkage. Alright? Alright…
All Good Music Festival has added Mike Gordon, The Avett Brothers, Perpetual Groove and Dark Star Orchestra to its lineup. Uber heady as usual.
Check out this mix of additions from the 10,000 Lakes Festival: Leftover Salmon, The Bad Plus, WookieFoot, Tim Reynolds, Bonerama and U-Melt. If that’s not all over the friggin’ festival map, I don’t know what is. Interesting.
The Pitchfork Music Festival has also expanded upon its initial lineup. Mission of Burma will play their 1983 post-punk classic Vs. as a part of the “Don’t Look Back” series. Other additions include the original lineup of Dinosaur Jr., Ghostface and Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan performing together, Jarvis Cocker, Apples in Stereo, Dirty Projectors, Cut Copy, Jay Reatard, King Khan & His Shrines, Fuck Buttons, the Ruby Suns, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, and Occidental Brothers Dance Band International. Now that’s the way to do a lineup addition. Very solid.
The 2008 Sasquatch Festival has stepped it up to Bonnaroo levels and added an entire “Comedy Tent” with a serious lineup of comedians. They’ve also added latest indie darlings, Yeasayer, plus the Whigs (one of my latest favs), Kathleen Edwards, and get this little blast from the 90s past: The Presidents of the United States of America!
Nice! Wonder if they’ll play this…
