Now that Vegoose is no longer a reality, a lot of folks have their Halloween night all freed up. Let me make a suggestion. If you were planning on going to Vegas you might as well take the road all the way out west to LA. The folks who bring HARD Summer Music Festival and HARD New Year’s Eve are tackling Halloween this year with the HARD Haunted Mansion. The lineup is a serious who’s who of electronic artists headlined by the impossibly cool Justice and the incredible stage-show of Soulwax.
The event will feature two stages, indoor and outdoor, at the Shine Expo Hall in downtown LA and the party rages from 8pm until 4am. That sounds like a very nice way to celebrate an already over-the-top holiday. The event is 21+ and tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster at the price of $47 — not including service charges. There are VIP tickets available for $127 which will get you an open bar.
There has been a serious tide of thrash/droned out techno breaking onto the shores of the electronic world of late, and this lineup definitely reflects how much crossover appeal these sounds have with non-electro fans. If I wasn’t going to LA a few weeks before I would be all over this, but alas my pockets aren’t that deep.
HARD Haunted Mansion Lineup: Justice, Soulwax, Simian Mobile Disco, Crystal Castles, Boys Noize, Deadmau5, Crookers, DJ A, Jason Bentley and Destructo
