Future Rock | September Coast-to-Coast

The Chicago based group, Future Rock is embarking on a September tour throughout the US after playing to festival in August. The nine-date run will cover some major media markets and will finish up with a Live PA set here in Chicago. I have yet to catch Future Rock outside of a festival setting and can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to crossing that one off my list. This will be the third Live PA set I’ve been out of town for in five months.

This band has been picking up a lot of steam over the last two years, which must be attributed to taking on some really creative concert ideas. They’ve done a few live band covers of Daft Punk sets, just started performing Live PA sets and helped throw some Euphonic Conceptions after-parties. This tour is no different with a number of notable dates from description alone. Follow the jump for dates and info.

Two shows jump out at me as definite great nights. The first is the Denver date after the STS9 Red Rocks show. That is one serious electronic line-up. Another is the NYC Rocks Off date. Not only is this a concert cruise but the band will be pulling an “in-the-round” performance. This means that they’ll set up on a round stage in the middle of the audience and play from there; sounds awesome.
