The lineup for this year’s FORM Arcosanti music and arts festival has been announced! The festival returns to the urban laboratory of Arcosanti, Arizona this upcoming weekend of May 10-12, 2019.
FORM reimagines what a festival can be. Breathtakingly intimate performances with no overlapping sets. An inspiring community of 2000 participants. No VIP sections. Immersive art & activities. Cliffside pool parties & rooftop yoga. All backdropped by Arcosanti’s otherworldly architecture & landscapes.
Headlining this year’s event will be Florence + the Machine, Anderson .Paak, Skrillex and Kaytranada. They’ll be joined by some LIVE faves like Bonobo doing a DJ set, Khruangbin, American Football and even that crazy crew behind Pussy Riot. Here’s the poster:
Here’s some other stuff that will be happening there:
Additionally, FORM’s engaging and inspired cultural program will include talks, panels, workshops, immersive art, poetry, new technologies, and outdoor/wellness activities with topics ranging from environmentalism to social justice, architecture, design, and more. FORM’s 2019 cultural programming will include Between Two Books, a conversation between Florence Welch (of Florence + The Machine) and authors Nadya Tolokonnikova of Pussy Riot, Ysra Daley-Ward and more; a Poetry Series with poets hand-selected by slam poetry champ and spoken word artist George Watsky, including Yrsa Daley-Ward, Aja Monet, and others; demos of Tónandi, Sigur Rós’s mixed-reality project with tech innovators Magic Leap; a performance and conversation with Patrisse Cullors, artist & co-founder of Black Lives Matter; art workshops with Renowned African-American artist and 2019 performer Lonnie Holley; and much more to be announced.

As the last minute there were a few lineup changes due to visa issues and other random problems. Louise Chen, Julianna Barwick, Batry Powr, Durante, and Tuff Ghosts have been added. And according to Phoenix Sun Times, “a rep for FORM confirmed that Tirzah, Mulatu Astatke, and JPEGMAFIA have all had to pull out of the festival due respectively to visa issues, health problems, and ‘unforeseen circumstances.’ They’ve been replaced on the bill by Robert Glasper, Vieux Farka Toure, Smoke Signals, and Batry Powr (aka Nicole Miglis of Hundred Waters).
