Foo Fighters will be playing in Atlanta the night before the Super Bowl, February 2nd, and they released a funny video promoting the event clearly targeted at all the football fans in the world. Sports!
They’re calling the event the Super Saturday Night and it will be fully live-streamed, and hopefully we don’t actually see a more advanced NFL tie-in because we’ll need to suffer through some bad made-for-TV punchlines.
As for the promotional video clearly a The Longest Yard homage, with the Foo Fighters cast as a bunch of gridiron outcasts dubbed the Jackalopes and well-known NFL commentators Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan offering the play-by-play and the back stories.
Joining Foo Fighters for the show is Run the Jewels, which may just be the perfect 15-minute opener for the Foos.
The live stream begins with Run the Jewels at 11:00pm ET and Foo Fighters hitting the stage at 11:15pm ET. Tune-in to watch both performances air live on DIRECTV (Ch 239)and stream online via DIRECTV Twitter HERE. For behind-the-scenes interviews and access, visit: DIRECTV.com/SuperSaturdayNight
