The crew at Goldenvoice is busy today with the first announcement of a new festival set for Monterey, CA over the August 24-25 weekend. First City Festival is a new addition to the stacked summer around here in the Bay Area, with Modest Mouse, Passion Pit, MGMT, Neko Case, Beach House, Toro Y Moi, Devendra Banhart, Washed Out and more all set to invade the Monterey County fairgrounds for a who’s-who weeekend of indie rock just two weeks after Outside Lands hits the San Francisco. Some early bird tickets will be going on sale today at 12pm noon and general on sale begins Friday, May 31st.
