Last month it was reported that Daft Punk would soon be changing record companies and hooking up with Columbia to release their highly anticipated fourth album in May (their first in eight years.) Now, just a few hours ago the band has confirmed those plans by updating both daftpunk.com and their Facebook page with a hi-res image of the band’s infamous helmet and Columbia records imprint.
One should expect an official announcement fairly soon if the rumored release in May holds true. As for a tour, I wouldn’t hold my breath for 2013.
